Testimonials
From Andrew Cameron Bailey, photographer, filmmaker:
Joining IACI in 2004 was a turning point in my creative life. I had
rarely been showing, or even printing, my photography, so it was an
inspiration to participate in a group exhibition. Not only that, the
Morelia adventure was my first trip to Mexico. It was an extraordinary
cultural experience, not to be missed. Since that day, I have moved to
Sedona, Arizona, and am an active member of the Sedona Visual Arts
Coalition, one of the few photographers in the 200-member organization.
I have completed a documentary film called IN SEARCH OF THE FUTURE,
partly shot in Mexico, which is being very well received.
Another moment of inspiration came at the party at Sam Sanders wild and wonderful establishment in Morelia. As we entered, I said to Connie Baxter Marlow: “This is truly amazing. We shall have to make a surrealist film.” Well, that moment has led to a screenplay for a surrealistic film set in nearby Patzcuaro during the Day of the Dead celebrations in 2012, the end-date of the Mayan Calendar. Inspiration indeed. Thank you, Leah!
