Call for Artists: By Invitation Only
(Convocatoria: Solo por Invitación)
IACI members take an active part in the execution and success of our events.
By being present at the events, a unique experience unfolds for both the artists
and the viewers of the exhibition. The exhibitions serve as a high point of a
program of cultural encounters in Mexico. Initiated in 2003, these annual
exhibitions have brought together more than 40 artists from over 15 countries.
2007/2008: "2 X 2 - A Cultural Ark"
Our next exhibition will be in the Centro San Angel in Mexico City, from February 8 until March 2, 2008.
"2 x 2 - A Cultural Ark" will be curated by Leah Poller, Director of the Art Alliance, New York and vetted by a prestigious committee comprised of Arturo Macias, President of IACI, Argelia Castillo Cano, International Art Critic and member of the Selection Committee of the Biennale de Firenze, and Ana Luna Merida, Director of the Centro Cultural San Angel in Mexico City. It has received the endorsement of the Mexican Cultural Institute of New York, and Conaculta-INAH, the Mexican Ministry of Cultural Affairs.
Our exhibition will represent the U.S. contribution to a continuing series of international
exhibitions at the Centro Cultural, which will also include exhibitions from Canada,
China and Italy.
